INTIMATE MEN
INTIMATE MEN
- A Sketch Book
Here is male figurative art that brings together young men in close proximity of each other - in settings that are close and intimate - unclothed by the conventions of society - honest and unabashed in their natural states.
These men are also all anonymous - they could probably be anywhere in the world. But they all have something in common. They embody the desire for a world that puts an end to bigotry and discrimination of any kind - that liberates the full potential of human creativity.
They portray a world that is at peace with itself - where the desire for intimacy and the joys of human passion take precedence over greed, vulgarity, and the insatiable urge for political and economic supremacy.
In this fantasy world, there are no wars of conquest or the trials and tribulations that come with poverty and exploitation.
Of course, such a world does not exist!
For that reason, these sketches are not real. But that is why we dream, and we sometimes attempt to create what doesn't exist.
Of course, there have been many who have dreamed before me. And it is likely that those who experienced more trials and tribulations in their lives dreamt more intensely. Others who lived in more tranquil times may have had more confident dreams. In either case, I dedicate this site to all dreamers - whether they dream of a better world - or dream to preserve what has been beautiful in the past.
I am also thankful for all those who have left behind a fragment of their dreams - examples of their creativity - so that we may live with hope and inspiration.
With this little introduction, I invite you to explore this sketch-book on the web.....
